topic Canon Pixma MG5650 scanning issue in Desktop Inkjet Printers

Does anybody know how to scan a document or selection so the resultant scan is the same size as the original?

It has been suggested that I scan at 300 dpi or (by someone else)150 dpi. No matter what I try or what settings I use, the end scan is always something like 180-200% bigger than the original.

Many thanks.
