I am having a problem with printing straight lines with my MX922. When printing in portrait mode my lines are straight, but when I print in landscape mode I get wavy lines and wavy text. I have tried to head alignment, but that does nothing. What can I do?

Hi wshuebner,

Based on your description of the issue, it would appear as though the encoder/timing strip in your PIXMA MX922 is dirty or smudged and would need to be cleaned. To clean the encoder/timing strip, please follow the steps outlined in the following Knowledgebase Article available from Canon's web site:

https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART142447

After cleaning, please attempt to print again.

If you continue to have difficulties, please contact our support group using the following link:

http://Canon.us/ContactLI
