Information Acquisition Error

I have tried to install the downloaded drivers for Canon MG2440 Pixma

But soon as it start its stop with a pop up error: Information Acquisition Error

"Failed to aquireinformation on the driver and softwear........"

I have logged in as Aministrator and tried again and again.....no luck!!

Any other advice please.

So you've downloaded the latest driver from the Canon Website? Windows or MAC?
