    <description>&lt;P&gt;I was trying to connect my mx492 to my laptop via a cable, to make things somewhat easier for me, and everything was going well up until the final installation process. Now its stuck "registering the scanner driver" and I can't even cancel it or close out of it. Is there anything I can do? I disabled my computer protection programs, but that obviously didn't work. What else is there?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Unplug printer and wait about 30 minutes and then plug back in&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Control-Alt-Delete on a PC or Force Quit on a Mac to end the installation process&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Instead of using the CD download the latest installation software from the Canon support site.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
