my cannon printer mg 2500 i snot connecting to my Asus Altec laptop. it is showing up bu tjust not connecting. am using windows 10.

What driver did you use to install the printer?

I suggest this one

The driver requires that you run it first, before connecting the printer. Did you do that? You then connect the printer to an available USB port and power it on. Detection should occur.

If you are stuck, this might help. See page 190
