New laptop Old printer Help!

What if you upgrade your laptop and there is no cd-rom? In order to use printer one needs to have original software. I am having trouble finding the original software from the cd that came with my mp280 online. The only software I am finding are updates and each one states that I need to have the original software already on my computer. Has anyone run into this problem and/or do you know where I can find the downloads without getting nasty viruses.

You can download the drivers from the support page for your printer. Please click HERE to open the support page. If your laptop is running Windows, you will want to install theMP280 series MP Driver Ver. 1.03. If you are using a Mac, you will want to install the MP280 series CUPS Printer Driver Ver.16.20.0.0, MP280 series Scanner Driver Ver. 17.7.1h and MP Navigator EX Ver. 4.0.6( click on the software tab next to drivers).
