The printer does not work. Support Code 6000.

Tried everything related to this topic. on/off, paperfeeders in/out, opened in the back to see if paper is jamed. Nothing works. As soon as I turn the printer on, I get the message Support Code 6000. Any tips out there?

Thanks, Erling, Surprise, AZ

PS: Printer type is MG5420

Hi Erling,

Since you have already verified that there are no jams or obstructions in the paper paths, have reseated the ink tanks in the unit, and have reset the printer and are still receiving the same error, the printer will need to replaced since it is out of service life and replacement parts/service are no longer offered on the printer.

You do qualify for the Canon Upgrade Program.

This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.

If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 seven days a week, 8 AM to midnight EST. Let them know you have been working with technical support and that the Canon Upgrade Program was offered.
