Hi chuckb01,

I recommend trying to clean the encoder strip in your printer. To clean the encoder/timing strip, please follow the steps outlined in the following Knowledgebase Article available from Canon's web site:

https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART164632

Did this answer your question?

I have a problem with my printwr that if I don't find an answer soon, I'm going to trash it. The black pigment print head prints a double line. I cleaned the print heads multiple times and checked the alignment and this is definitly not the problem. I think iy might be in the firmware or pc board itself.

If I do a print test, the top black net looki like test has split verticle lines. They start out one line, then split and then go back together at the bottom of that black test. Hope someone has an idea. Thank you.
