MG3600 Printing black box around images

I was not having this problem with my previous printer that died from old age so it's not necessarily the document. I have been trying to print what should be simple coloring pages so a basic image with white space around it. Every page comes out looking like a white image appearing to have a fully blacked out background. Is there a setting that could change this?
