      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have installed a new computer and connected my Canon MP970. It prints fine. But the printer's scan button does not work. The screen says "Processing" for a few seconds, then returns home. No scan. How to fix this?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi johnaikerman,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The PIXMA MP970 is not compatible with the Windows&amp;nbsp;10 x64&amp;nbsp;operating system and there are no plans to develop a driver for the printer that will make it compatible.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As a work around, the Windows 7 or Windows 8 drivers should function in the Windows 10 environment with some limitations which are currently unknown to Canon.&amp;nbsp; You may try to download the MP Drivers and the software for Windows 8, which may help you to complete the scan.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To install the driver, please click &lt;A href="https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/details/printers/support-inkjet-printer/mp-series/pixma-mp970/pixma-mp970#drivers_downloads_tab" target="_blank"&gt;here&lt;/A&gt; to access our Drivers and Downloads website, change the Operating System to Windows 8.1 (x64). Download and install the &lt;STRONG&gt;MP970 series Mini Master Setup&lt;/STRONG&gt; option in the &lt;STRONG&gt;Drivers &lt;/STRONG&gt;section.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you are still unable to scan, you would qualify for the Canon Upgrade Program.&amp;nbsp;This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price.
