I have a MG5220 printer. i also have a new computer and I was told I had to use a flash drive in order for me to scan

A friend did scan some pictures for me but I did not follow closely so I need some help.

To have a better understanding of your issue, please let everyone know what operating system you have installed on your computer, and if you have installed all the software from the PIXMA MG5220 disk.
