I just purchased a TR8520 printer and trying to install on Windows Vista OS but receive the following message, "This program cannot be used with current operating system" is this OS too old for the new printer?

The simple answer to your question is yes. Microsoft discontinued support for windows vista April 11, 2017.

Windows 7 is EOL 1-14-2020

Time for a new OS and probably a new computer as well.
