My printer will no longer print from my computer. The error message reads 'The size/type of the loaded paper is different from the print settings' I've checked and rechecked the settings on both the printer and the computer and they are correct. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, Ann

I had a reply from Canon Australia and this fixed my problem. Here are the instructiions they gave me in case you have a similar problem.

I would recommend to kindly disable the Detect paper setting mismatch in your printer. If this option is enabled, the printer detects whether the paper size and the media type are identical with those registered in Register cassette paper info. If printing starts with the settings that do not match, an error message is displayed on the touch screen.

If you disable this option, it disables the message display and allows you to continue printing. To disable detection of paper setting mismatches, kindly follow the steps below.

On your printer:

Select Gear icon or Setup on the HOME screen.

Select the slider icon or Settings.

Select Device settings.

Select Feed/ cassette settings.

Select Detect paper settings mismatch.

Select No.

Test the printer.
