Auto Turn On Canon MG5300 Printer

If my MG5300 Printer is turned off I want it to turn on automatically when I send it a print command from my computer or other device. I see on the Maintenance tab there is an Auto Power option that lets me set Auto Power OFF settings but nothing About Power ON.

While the printer does support an auto power off, it does not support an auto power on. I apologize for the inconvenience.

And will that ever be fixed with a new driver?? all other (older and cheaper) Canon printers we have do support it

OK, I guess nobody will answer and anything won't be ever fixed anyway..

The newer Canon printer, the worse it is! .. seems that Canon doesn't care about happy customers and the only solution is not to buy Canon printer ever again
