I have this printer that has been barely used for years. I turned it on today and for some reason it only wants to print from the bottom tray but it also Jams in the rear each time.

Hi jj71787,

Just to confirm, you have a MG5520 correct? The reason I ask is because the only place the MG5520 will feed from is the bottom feed. There is no rear feed on this model printer. Please click HERE to for a overview from the manual.

If paper keeps jamming in the rear of the printer, please click HERE for the steps to open the back panel of the printer to make sure there is no paper stuck there.

You can also disable the auto width detection. Click HERE for the steps.

If the steps above do not resolve the issue, please reply with what version of Windows or Mac you are using and what program you are using to print.
