    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi dhufnagle.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the printer is recognized during the installation, and is printing from the other computers, then the printer itself is set up and operating correctly.&amp;nbsp; If the computer is using a VPN (such as for remote work), then it will behave as if on the remote network, and not on the network through which it's "tunneling."&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you've been using the "Add Printer" option in the printers list, then you are using Windows-produced drivers which may experience connection problems when the printer enters standby mode.&amp;nbsp; Remove all entries labeled "Canon MX490," then run the MP Driver installation from the &lt;U&gt;&lt;FONT color="#0000FF"&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/details/printers/support-inkjet-printer/mx-series/pixma-mx490/pixma-mx490#drivers_downloads_tab" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;MX490 Drivers &amp;amp; Downloads page&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/U&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the problem persists, check the Settings &amp;gt;&amp;gt; System &amp;gt;&amp;gt; About tab.&amp;nbsp; If the computer is in S Mode, then it will only be able to use Canon drivers once S Mode is disabled (through the Windows Store).&amp;nbsp; Once disabled, S Mode cannot be re-enabled without resetting the computer to factory settings.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Did this answer your question?       <description>&lt;P&gt;Bought a new laptop in Jan 2020.&amp;nbsp; Installed the Canon MX490 drivers but can't print.&amp;nbsp; Can't even print a test page.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;All other computers in our house can print.&amp;nbsp; Even our cell phones can print.&amp;nbsp; The Canon MX490 is set up as a wireless printer.&amp;nbsp; The new computer is an ASUS VivoBook 15.&amp;nbsp; It has no network connection issues.&amp;nbsp; It recognizes the MX490 during installation of the drivers.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers a few times with no success.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
