I can't seem to find an anwser to this question anywhere. Cli-251 black is the recommended ink but my MG6320 will not recognize the "xl" tank. Is this correct - xl size can not be used in this model - or do I have a different problem?

"CLI-251XL Black" is listed on the product support page under Accessories. It's also mentioned in the MG6320 series Getting Started guide. So unfortunately, appears to be another problem.

Hi bruce4150.

The MG6320 uses both the CLI-251 BK and PGI-250 BK black inks. Each of these inks servers a different purpose, and they are not interchangeable. If the PGBK slot was the one holding the empty ink tank, the replacement needs to be a PGI-250 BK (either standard, XL, or XXL). Trying to force a CLI-251 BK tank in the PGBK slot (or a PGI-250 BK ink tank in the BK slot) may cause damage to the components.

Did this answer your question?
