In this&amp;nbsp;situation you can try a print head alignment using the steps in the link provided &lt;A href="https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&amp;amp;id=ART141530" target="_self"&gt;HERE&lt;/A&gt;. You can try aligning the print head two times to see if it resolves the double printing.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the MX922 is still printing double, you can try cleaning the encoder/timing strip using the steps provided in the link &lt;A href="https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&amp;amp;id=ART142447" target="_self"&gt;HERE&lt;/A&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you continue you to have the same issue, it looks like there is a problem with the hardware.       <title>Pixma MX920 - Black and White print doesnt work</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello team&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The MX920 I own has an issue with black and white print. The color print works fine.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When we try black and white alone, it double prints.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I went to the Printer settings -&amp;gt; Maintenancce mode&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;and did the routing maintenance.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please let me know how can I fix this.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks&lt;/P&gt;</description>
