I like my old MP280 because it works well with my systgem for scanning. But is quit working; when I turn it on I get dispayed P07 which is an error message. Does anyone kow what I need to do to fix it? I have 2 other printers so I can get by. But i really do not want to get replacement for my good old 280.

Greetings,

All I could find on the MP280.

https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART109210&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US&searchid=1591016675116

You don't have many options if the waste ink pads are full. Use google for steps to clean the pads and clear the error. The parts are not user serviceable, but you might find a work around which will buy you a little time.

My recommendation is replacement since the cost of shipping and service will exceed the price of a new printer.
