No error messages. Operating on Windows 10. Printer/scanner is 5 years old. Talked to the Canon rep and he'd never seen this problem before and couldn't help. Thought it might have something to do with Windows not the scanner.

My scanner's photo option is duplicating (2x) every time I use the photo option to save a jpg. I only need one scan saved! Autoscan and document scan are fine. They only save one scan. Anyone know what causes this?

Hi nanran1955.

Which scanning software are you using? If you're scanning through My Image Garden, then the scans do not need to be saved after scanning, unless they are edited after they appear. The scans are automatically saved as part of the scanning process, and manually selecting "Save" afterwards creates the duplicate.

Did this answer your question?
