Print Head Alignment MX490

The instructions say to put the printed sheet in the scanner then press the Start Button. I do all that as instructed but when I press the Start Button it just turns off the printer. I've tried many times but pressing that button only turns off the printer. Can someone help?

Hi koolkingrichard,

Please make sure that you are pressing the Color or Black Start button, not the Power button on your PIXMA MX490.
