CANON PIXMA 6100

I have a problem trying to change my scanning to computer function from JPEG to PDF. When I select pdf, there is an error stating I must change the format in settings. I have no idea how to do that. Can someone explain what I need to do?

Hi biglil,

To scan an item and save it as PDF, you can use the IJ Scan Utility.

To open the IJ Scan Utility, please click on the Windows Start button in the lower left hand corner, click on the Canon Utilities folder in the menu that appears and then click on the IJ Scan Utility.

If you are using a Mac, please open your Applications folder and the IJ Scan Utility can be found in the Canon Utilities folder.

Once the IJ Scan Utility is open, click on the "Document" button to scan and save as PDF.
