Canon MP470 printer

I'm trying to connect my samsung chromebook XE303c12 to the Canon MP470 printer via a USB cable. Chromebook says printing was completed but printer itself never did complete the printing process.

Hi MP47.

As the MP470 was produced long before the release of Google's Chrome OS, it is not supported on that operating system, except as a "Classic Printer," which requires a compatible Windows or Mac OS computer to act as an intermediary. Refer to Google's support for Cloud Print for more information on setting up a Classic printer. We are unable to offer assistance with direct USB connections to Chrome OS devices.
