      <title>Canon PIXMA G3501 Scanner in Windows 8.1 not supported?</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It seems that the scanner driver is not supported on Windows 8.1.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have downloaded both the full pack and the separate scanner driver.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.canon-europe.com/support/consumer_products/products/fax__multifunctionals/inkjet/pixma_g_series/pixma_g3501.html?type=software&amp;amp;language=en&amp;amp;os=windows%208.1%20(64-bit" target="_blank"&gt;https://www.canon-europe.com/support/consumer_products/products/fax__multifunctionals/inkjet/pixma_g_series/pixma_g3501.html?type=software&amp;amp;language=en&amp;amp;os=windows%208.1%20(64-bit&lt;/A&gt;)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The printer is connected wirelessly and prints fine. The scanner driver also install fine and even sees the network scanner if I click on the icon next to the clock it shows that scanner is recognized and it's mac address.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;However that TWAIN utility which supposed to be the GUI program to scan documents is not doing anything at installation, I tried both the 32-bit and 64 bit versions even a windows7 version, it's all the same.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Windows 8.1 does not detect the scanner in it's default SCANNERS page in the control panel even after the scanner driver is properly installed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What else can be done?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks&lt;/P&gt;</description>
