I connect wirelessly and the modem/router is right next to the computer and printer. After scanning of approximately 10 PDF pages, I get error messages 2,157,50 indicating communication problems (e.g., Wi-Fi signal strength) which don't seem to apply. Another message on the forum listed some steps to take in Settings and that seemed to extend the number of pages I can scan before getting the error message from about 3-4 pages up to about 10 pages. Drivers and firmware are current. Seems odd that it works for some number of pages and then "gets tired" and stops.

Hi miandma,

The 2,157,50 error is an indication that the security software that is installed on your computer is blocking communication with your PIXMA TS8320. Please either temprarily turn that software off, or allow Canon applications access through that software.

Also, please allow these ports through the security software:

TCP 80 - For HTTP communication
TCP / UDP 515 - For printing using LPR protocol
TCP / UDP 9100 - For printing using Raw protocol
TCP / UDP 1900 - For Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) operation
TCP / UDP 5357 - For acquiring the printer information (WSDAPI)
TCP / UDP 8611 - Canon BJNP port for printing
TCP / UDP 8612 - Canon BJNP port for scanning
