    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hey Durham,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Canon will not give a &lt;FONT color="#FF0000"&gt;[...]&lt;/FONT&gt; so try this:&lt;BR /&gt;1. Unplug the printer power cable, and usb cable&lt;BR /&gt;2. Go Control panel and uninstall everything about Canon or associated w/Canon.&lt;BR /&gt;3. Restart your computer&lt;BR /&gt;4. Go to Canon.com and Download the correct software for your printer and install it.&lt;BR /&gt;5. Plug in power and usb&lt;BR /&gt;6. Scan it and see if it works.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This is for PC.&lt;BR /&gt;4.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I just bought this printer specifically to scan photos and documents onto my Microsoft Windows computer. I tried to set it up and scan, but it gave me a pop-up window that said:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Cannot communicate with scanner for these reasons:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- Scanner is turned off.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- USB cable is disconnected.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please check and try again.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Scanner driver will be closed&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Code: 5, 156, 69&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The USB is definitely connected, and I have no idea what "Scanner is turned off" means. Please help!&lt;/P&gt;</description>
