Hi jli,

Please try replacing both ink cartridges with new genuine Canon ink cartridges. If the issue persists, your PIXMA iP2702 would require service. You are eligible for Canon's Upgrade Program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service, or for some reason are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a replacement product, discounted from the list price.

To help you get up and running quickly, we also offer free standard shipping (if the order is completed by 12:30PM ET). If you would like to take part in this option, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 weekdays and Saturdays after 11 AM ET (8 AM PT). Let them know you have been working with technical support and the Canon Upgrade Program was offered.

Hi,

I have a Cannon ip2702 printer which had been very reliable for years. Yesterday it did not respond to the file print command and I found its power light was off. Then I found its power light turned on each time when its power cord was plugged into a power source and the power button was pressed. After a few seconds the light turned off by itself and the printer would not respond to any power button action until next plugging out and in of its power cord. When the light was on, I also could hear the loud sound of cartridge moving. Any diagnosis and suggestion would be highly appreciated.

John
