    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I just got a 9000F scanner for Christmas and I'm having a heck of a time figuring out how to use it.&amp;nbsp; I'm sure that if my negatives were pristine I wouldn't be having any problems, but some are over 20-years old!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Right now, I'm getting a purple haze around the edges of my photos and I don't know how to correct for that, any tips would be appreciated, I'm using an iMac running 10.8.2.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Here's an example:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;IMG src="https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/929iADB2DF0008F86CD9/image-size/original?v=mpbl-1&amp;amp;px=-1" align="middle" alt="Mossmar Gorge_0005.jpg" border="0" title="Mossmar Gorge_0005.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
