I have had a canon mx430 for approximately four years [I don't print a great deal]. When I originally installed it I had a terrible time with connectivity. I have three open USB ports on my computer and, after a lot of trial and error, finally got it connected and set up using one of the three ports. While I was away on business my son borrowed the USB cable. Now, after over a week I still get the 'not connected' message when I try to get it to operate. I have tried everything; using all ports, uninstall/reinstall, numerous reboots and a new cable. After connecting the last cable the install process seemed to be going well, then stalled before it was complete and the not connected message reappeared. Is there a viable solution or should I just get rid of the printer and buy one that works?
