topic issue printing DVDs with ip7250 printer in Desktop Inkjet Printers

I'm having an odd issue trying to print direct onto some Verbatim printable blank DVDs - whatever the layout colours, including using photos (they all preview & display accurately) the end result is always pinkish monochrome image - it's tonally correct & the same images print perfectly on various kinds of paper. I'm using My Image Garden & driver settings all look OK, media is listed as DVD disk. I've tried other software with the same result so I'm begining to think it is the DVDs but I've never come across this problem before. Obviously I need to try a different brand of blank disk, just wondered if anyone has had a similar problem.
