    <description>&lt;P&gt;I am having trouble installing an IX6550 printer. The PC is running Windows XP. The installation proceeds as far as connecting the USB cable and turning on the printer. I get a message box saying 'Found new hardware Canon IX6550 series'. It then starts to copy files but then another box comes up saying -&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Found new hardware wizard&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There was a problem installing this hardware&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;An error occurred during the installof this device&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Access denied&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Has anyone experienced this. Any ideas greatly appreciated.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Many thanks&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi canonprinter,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You mentioned that there was an error about access being denied.&amp;nbsp; Please ensure that you are logged in as an Administrative&amp;nbsp;priviledged account&amp;nbsp;or the printer will not be able to be installed correctly.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The PIXMA iX6550 is a UK model which is similar to the US equivalent PIXMA iX6520.&amp;nbsp; I will be providing instructions to reinstall your PIXMA iX6550 which are from instructions we have for a PIXMA iX6520.&amp;nbsp; Please perform the following to uninstall:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1.&amp;nbsp; Click Start, Control Panel, then Add/Remove Programs.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2.&amp;nbsp; Click on the PIXMA iX6550 Drivers, then click Change/Remove.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3.&amp;nbsp; Follow the onscreen instructions to remove.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;4.&amp;nbsp; Disconnect the USB cable if connected.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We can then reinstall the drivers.&amp;nbsp; To reinstall, please place the disc inside of your computer, then follow the onscreen instructions to reinstall.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
