topic Canon MP 280 Pixma. in Desktop Inkjet Printers

My Canon Pixma MP 280 shows an E3 message - a paper jam. Except, there is no actual jam. The tech tried to get rid of the message but could not. She suggested buying a new printer which I think is very wasteful for a less than two year old item. Any ideas, please, on how to get rid of the message?

Thanks very much.

iso
