topic on TR150 ink consumption in Desktop Inkjet Printers

I have anew TR150. For best ink consumption, should I leave it turned on all the time or turn it off after each printing to avoid the heads drying out? Some printers cycle some ink each time it is turned on. Wasteful. Does this printer do that?

Hi rlsds,

The TR150 will perform a cleaning when the printer is turned on, but it is not a "regular" cleaning. It does this to ensure that the first print is accurate. The amount of ink used in this process is very small.

If you are turning the printer on an off multiple times a day, you may see the ink levels drop. If this is the case, I would recommend leaving the printer on until you are sure you are not going to print for an extended period of time.
