topic Pixma TS302 stops printing mid-page in Desktop Inkjet Printers

My printer is a little over a year old and has never had issues before. Just suddenly stopped printing after about 1/4 to 1/3 down the page. I am printing through USB connection, Windows 10 pro with a Lenovo Think Centre desktop, and have tried Microsoft Word doc, PDF, and print from web options.

I have already done the following:

Power on/off

Try a different USB cable and from a different USB jack on my computer (both known to be working with a different USB device)

Uninstall and reinstall the printer

Pausing and restarting the print job

When it stops the print job, the power/resume light just flashes green continuously. No way to count how many flashes because it just never stops, so I can't try to decipher some error code from it. The only way I can get it to stop is to unplug the USB connection.

The manual is useless and the Canon knowledge base stuff is useless. And this whole pay $20 for a phone support call is ridiculous and I will not buy another Canon printer again as a result of such a terrible customer support option.
