Pixma MG6320 data storage

I have a broken MG6320. It will power on, but the menus freeze, so I can't really navigate through them.

Before I dispose of it, I want to be 100% certain it has no stored data (documents in print queue, wifi login, etc).

Does this printer store data? If so, how can I clear the data?

You are not the first person who has asked this question. I hope this helps.

Your printer is not like a computer. This model doesn't have a hard drive.

It doesn't retain documents or information about what's its printed. Once its loses power, any information is gone.

Your Wi-Fi SSID and password are a different story. Someone with a chip reader who wanted to disassemble your printer (which is garbage or eWaste) and attempt to read stored information from one of its logic chips might be able to do so.

Then what? They don't know who you are or where you live. Since this information is not personally identifiable, there is nothing they can do with it. Like finding a ket that you don't know what it unlocks.

You can safely eWaste your printer (as-is) in its current state.
