Lightroom tone curves and sliders

I only use the tone curve for a few things but should the curve reflect changes you have introduced using the sliders? Like the contrast slider and the whites and blacks sliders anyway? It would be nice if it did so you could see it.

Hmph. None of the "Basic" sliders seems to have any effect on the "Tone Curve" in LR6.

Exactly. Not in LR5 or any other version. Seems like it should though.

Maybe not. Some of the Basic controls seem redudant with Tone Curve controls. Maybe, you should go one way or the other.
