Downloading EOS digital solution disk without CD-ROM?

Most computers don't have CD-ROM anymore, including mine. How do I download the EOS DIGITAL software for my new EOS Rebel T5 1200D without a CD-ROM drive?

Go to the Canon support site at USA.canon.com and download EOS Solution Disk.

Have your camera's serial number ready, because you'll get asked for it. Something to do with protecting Canon's copyright, I guess. I don't know why it helps, but then I'm not a lawyer.
