topic EOS Utility 3 'Focus Failure' in Camera Software

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has had similar focusing errors with EOS Utility 3. We're capturing with a canon 5ds and a canon 50mm 1.4 USM lens camera settings are set to manual 1/60s, F10, ISO 400 and the lens is set to auto focus. We're capturing paper documents from an overhead rig but seem to keep getting a 'Focus Failure' error message. The temporary solution seems to be putting a hand or something into the frame for the camera to focus to then taking it away and capturing.

But because this error has become so frequent I just wanted to know if there was a solution?

Best,

Jo
