Canon EOS M5 using Lightroom 3 software

Currently with my Canon D7 I'm using Lightroom 3 to work on my pictures. Mainly shooting in RAW format CR2.

I understand that with the new Canon EOS M5 shooting RAW it will not work to download to Lightroom.

Any known solution?

Upgrade Lightroom. V3 is 9 years old.

Another option is to use DNG.

Or, use Canon DPP to do RAW conversion and whatever other processing you want and then export aTIFF to Lightroom.

But, my personal opinion is that the Creative Cloud subscription is worth the $10/month.
