Rebel t1i Utility software

Hello all,

I'm new to the forum, but have had my t1i for about 10-15 years (basaically upgraded from the t5i when the t1i first became available).

My issue is that I do not have the CD to run the utility software. I downloaded DPP and Photo Editor, but I am unable to shoot remotely without the utility download. When I attempt to run the update, it won;t let me because I haven't downloaded the original utility software. I do not have a CD drive on my laptop. I am wondering if there is a file anywhere I can download to run the remote shooting capability on DPP.

Welcome to the forum.

Go to the Canon support site for your camera and choose either the Windows 7 OS or the Yosemite macOS.

Then you will see the option to download the CD image.
