I have some new information. I happened to continue editing on my MacBook, and to my surprise the lens data is working fine there. So the problem is specific to my Mac Mini. Maybe a permissions issue?

Lens Data not found in DPP

I have recently aquired an EF 70-300 4-5.6 IS USM.

Unsurprisingly, when I first tried to process a RAW file in DPP it said "lens data not found". So I went to the update procedure, found what appears to be the right lens, and added it in, apparently successfully.

But DPP still says "lens data not found".

What is going on here? Are there perhaps two versions of the lens, and I've got the wrong one?

Did your camera record the data that tells DPP what lens you used? Probably it didn't!
