I use both Dropbox and Google Drive -- both are free and provide a limited amount of storage space.

Dropbox.com gives you 2GB free but you can buy more.

It's 9.99/month for 1TB

Google Drive (drive.google.com) gives you 15GB free and you can also buy more.

It's $1.99/month for 100GB and 9.99/month for 1TB (at which point it's the same price as Dropbox).

These are both basically "disk drives in the cloud" -- you can store any file on them since they aren't just for photos.

I see that images uploaded to the Canon Image Gateway are reduced in size by default. For example, an image of 4.5M that I sent was reduced to 800K.

Is there any way to keep the image's original size?

You could use a cloud-based storage service such as Dropbox.com. I think it stores all your files at their original size. You just need to purchase enough storage space to accommodate all your files.

Or you can buy several SD (or CF) cards. Use one a day or so. It is good to have several anyway.
