    <description>&lt;P&gt;a just got an sx50 camera and am having trouble installing the software&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;when I start the install - it promts for silverlight &amp;nbsp;which installs - the installer keeps going and then draws a large X saying unknown error&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;is &amp;nbsp;there any way to get a more detailed error message? Is there any way to get somekind of log?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I did validate the silverlight install by going to ms silverlight sight- &amp;nbsp;which told me I was behind the times updated to the current version (made no difference in the install)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;done one at at time&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;imagebrowerex fails to install &amp;nbsp;as does camerawindow, &amp;nbsp;the manual and the photo sitch program do install&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;thanks in advance for any suggestions&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi normanR!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for posting.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Uninstall both ImageBrowser EX and Silverlight.&amp;nbsp; Then, download the latest version of &lt;A href="http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/" target="_blank"&gt;Silverlight &lt;/A&gt;straight from the &lt;A href="http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/" target="_blank"&gt;Microsoft &lt;/A&gt;website and install it, followed by ImageBrowser EX.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Do you experience this when using a different user account or computer?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;i gave canon a call and they had a seggestion that saved the day&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;the problem was not solved by reinstalling sliverlight, they suggested it was something to do with my user profile&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;the solution&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;delete silverlight and imagebroserex&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;create a new user&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;log in as the new user&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;install imagebrowser (this installed silverlight)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;log out of the new user and back in as me&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;delete the new user&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;- something in my user profile was preventing the install&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
