topic HELP! Where have DPP, EOSU, & Neural Network downloads gone? in Camera Software

Just got a new mini gaming laptop (Windows 11 64bit) for an upcoming trip and trying to download DPP. EOSU, & NN to it but they don't seem available from the Canon USA site under support for my cameras (R5ii, R6ii. R7). What gives? Where can I find them now? Has Canon quit distributing them or what? This is really annoying, to put it mildly. & I don't want an online version, when traveling I'm usually offline. Particularly annoying as I pay for a subscription to NN & use it a lot. I can probably drag up the old install files from another machine but I would obviously rather have currrent versions.

Hello there!

All Imaging Applications are now at https://canon.us/imagingapps . It's easier to keep them maintained in the same place, and easier to prevent confusion!

So why not provide a pointer from the device support pages? Other apps are there.

Greetings @JamesHarvey

I checked the R5 C and R6 Mark II downloads.

Downloads for the EOS utility DPP, Neural network tool etc. are available on the individual product's download pages.

Not sure what you were seeing.

They are there for both windows and MAC.

You can use either download option whether you are a new or returning user. 🙂

Hmm, that;s odd, I spent considerable time looking for them. At https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/eos-r6-mark-ii I see 8 items listed under Software & Drivers, where I used to find them, none of them is DPP, EOSU, or NN, they are LUTs, webcam, VR etc, that all appear camera-specific. Under Apps all I see are phone apps. Maybe you are looking at a cached version of the page.

@JamesHarvey

I'd like to entertain that possibility. However, I can't because the Canon USA website uses unique session ID's on its webpages.

Using the link you provided, this is what I see.

3981.png

3982.png

3983.png

There were more downloads but I didn't bother to copy them all. The downloads are available on the individual product web page you provided as well as the centralized URL provided above.

I'm not able to comment on your individual browsing experience. I'm only able to confirm that the information you referenced is available at the link you provided. Maybe using a different browser might help? 😉

It seems to be related to the software versions. Many more items show for W11 vs W10x64 for example. For Mac, for some reason the Canon website says it detects Catalina (when I am running Tahoe). Catalina shows four items; Tahoe 14.
