DPP Software not working

I just bought an RF60 Mark III. I've shot 2 raw images and have down loaded onto my computer, the DPP software. Of the 9 edit tabs, hardly any of them work. It's frustrating as I'm new to this as far as post editing capabilities. I see some mention down loading the software from the Canon site but I just grabbed it from the internet. I'm not even sure how to download it from Canon's website.

I can't say I've ever heard of an RF60 Mark III. Did you mean an R6 Mark III.?

If you did, you can go to this Canon Support page and download software for it, like DPP.

You will need to tell them what kind of computer you have.

If you can download the software, I would uninstall and delete the software you got off the Internet first, before you install the one you get from Canon so that there are no conflicts.

You should never, ever install software "grabbed from the internet". Much of that stuff is fake garbage that exists to install malware on your computer. Uninstall it, and run any antivirus/malware checker you have; if you have an up to date Windows, the security centre should be taking care of this for you. Even if it's not technically malware, a lot of fake or copycat apps exist to con you into giving them money.

Only install software direct from the website of the maker. stevet's post is the right way to go. I would say that you should go to your country's Canon support site, not necessarily the USA site, but I don't think it matters much.

As for "9 edit tabs"... I'm looking at DPP version 4, and I don't see anything that looks like "9 edit tabs". So yeah. Here are screenshots of DPP4's main page and edit page.

I think the OP is referring to the top of the "Tool palette", which has 9 selections.

Hello, Jack, and welcome to the forum!

I see that you mention RAW images, but it sounds to me like you are loading JPeG files. DPP is primarily a RAW editor. It will allow editing JPeG, but is most effective for Canon Raw files.

What you describe is what I (and others) experience with JPeG, not all tabs for editing will allow the tools to be used, they are there, they just can't be used on JPeG. Sorry if I am jumping to conclusions, but that is what it sounds like to me.

As mentioned by others, please go to the Canon Support page for your camera, download/install DPP 4, make sure you are loading Raw, and report back.
