I've already done that and they had no solution. It seems to be a specific issue and I'm seeing if anyone has had the same issue and resolved it.

I've been trying for hours to get my R3 to connect to my Mac Mini running Sequoia. It fails at the pairing stage. Here is what I'm up to:

EOS Utility has permission to connect to devices on the local network

On the Mac when I run EOS Utility > Connect to EOS camera, nothing appears in the 'EOS Pairing Software' window where you are supposed to see the camera listed. My old 5D MkIV also fails to appear when I try to pair it.

There is something wrong, perhaps in the Mac side, that prevents the camera appearing.

I've run the Network connection wizard multiple times on the R3, setting up different connections, even created an SSID connection like the older 5D. Absolutely nothing works.

Has anyone overcome this issue?

Check the status of the communication settings in the R3. Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled. The is not able to automatically switch communication settings on its own. And would not want it to, either.

Do the same with your 5D4. You should discover the 5D4 lacks Wi-Fi entirely.

Thanks but its fine on the camera side as I've been testing everything I can think of for hours. The issue is on the Mac/EOS Utility side. For example, my 5D connects fine to my old MacBook running High Sierra (very old OS).

I suggest that you contact Canon Support.

I discovered the issue was that wifi modems communicate over a few channels and the Mac was on one channel and my R3 was connecting to another channel of the same SSID. When you are using the wizard and get to the SSID scroll down to see other channel numbers if the first choice doesn't work.
