I use EOS utility 3.18.41.0 on a 2019 iMac running Sequoia 15.3.1

I use a USB cable to tether the camera and tell EOS Utility where to save the files.

If Google Drive has access to USB storage media, I have seen Google Drive prevent EOS Utility from running. Solution was to deny access to external storage by Google Drive.

Other programs claiming ownership of the USB port might also keep EOS Utility from running.

Has there been any update on this? I'm running MacOS 15.3.2 on an M2 Max Studio. with EOS version 3.18.5 and it will not connect to the camera. I tried over wifi and via cable, new cables and nothing. Is the Utility going to be updated at some point?

Apple keeps moving the goalposts every 4 weeks or so. Your MacOS was just released three days ago. Apple has already announced 15.4 to be released very soon.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/MacOS_Sequoia

You can see a revision history at the above link. What is the point of creating a version for v15.3 when it will be obsolete in less than a month?

This has been an issue since I've updated to MacOS 15. On the downloads page you can see that the releases are broken up by major releases not the incremental updates, and MacOS 15 is missing. Incremental updates are not pushing any goalposts for an app like this.

This has been an issue for many years with Apple. It’s not just a Canon issue, either. It happens to all the major manufacturers.
