Thanks for your response.

No I have no other apps open. I only have EOS Utility and Darkroom open.

Following a reinstall of the latest EOS, it now auto-starts when I open my camera, so that part touchwood is working.

I now need to review Darkroom as the images are now not falling into the folder to print.

Kind regards

EOS Utility 3.18.40.9

Good afternoon, I operate Win 11 and use Darkroom Core to print my images at events.

My EOS does not start when the camera (EOS 6D). is on.

My set up is > Canon 6D > a TP-Link router (2GHZ) due to distance between camera, router and laptop.

I take the image, the router with a CAT8 ethernet cable sends the image to the laptop, through EOS Utility and at the same time to Darkroom Core and the image prints. This whole process takes approx 10 seconds.

Last night, my EOS utility would not open and I kept getting the EOS launcher screen. The EOS would suddenly open, but would close randomly. I spoke to Canon support and they advised me that EOS Utility is having issues taking to Win 11 and with WIFi, so a new version 3.18.40.09 needs to be downloaded. This I did, but again EOS Utility will not open.

What is happening and how can this be rectified.

Kind regards

Gary

Are there multiple apps open that can communicate with the camera via USB open at the same time? If so, then that’s the problem.

The EOS Utility allows you to specify a specific folder to save files downloaded from the camera. The folder needs to be a local folder on your computer.
