EOS Utility 2 for Windows 11

I bought a new computer with windows 11 and have not been able to download pictures from my 60D. It keeps saying to install utility 2. I've installed utility 3, but still get same message. I've not been able to find utility 2 for windows 11.

Thanks for you help, I've been trying to get this working for weeks.

Unfortunately there is no version of EOS Utility for the EOS 60D on Windows 11. You might try to see if you can locate a version for Windows 10 and try that.

Early versions of EOSU3 also installed EOSU2. This has worked for other folks, but I am not sure about W11.

1. go to the W10 support page for the 1D X Mark III (I use that site because that is the camera I have.)

2. keep scrolling down till you see EOSU 3.13.10 download.

3. Install that software. If you already have EOSU3 installed you should delete it first.

EU2 works fine in Windows 11.

The 60D needs EU2, NOT EU3.

The problem is that EU2 is not available from Canon anymore. They only provide the EU2 2.14.20a UPDATER, which is important to install after installing the original EU2.

I saved the contents of the CD that came with my 60D onto my fileserver so I wouldn't need a CD at all. You are the third person I have offered to supply with the installer. You can have it on a CD, flash drive, SD card, or whatever. Software is free, you just provide the media and postage to return it back to you. Private-message me and we can work something out.

EOSU2 will be installed along with EOSU3 using the version of EOSU referenced in my previous response.

I have an EU3 3.15.20 installer that does not install EU2.

The 60D needs EU2. EU3 does not work with the 60D. It would be senseless to install 3 just to get 2.

Correct. Which is why I said 3.13.10.

This software isn't Windows7/8/10/11-sensitive. My 3.15.20 is fine with Win11. Can't imagine 3.13.10 being any different.

But, on the off-chance 3.13.10 doesn't work, I have 3.15.20.

To make sure there isn't confusion here....the 60D REQUIRES EU2, not 3.

As I stated, when I tried to install what was recommended, the same error message came up, "update can not be installed, load original canon CD.

Your camera was retired in 2019 and no longer qualifies for direct support from Canon USA.

From the following page, you'll scroll down to "Software and Drivers," then manually select Windows 7 as your operating system (regardless that you're on Windows 11):
