CCAPI Activation Tool on Mac doesn't work; spins endlessly

I'm trying to use the CCAPI Activation Tool app for Mac to activate CCAPI on my Canon R7. Whenever I run the app with the camera connected, it hangs and spins endlessly, and never completes the activation. I'm using v1.0.3 of the app (last modified Sep 9 2020), which is part of the v1.4.0 CCAPI download. I'm running on a MacBook Pro M3 Max with macOS 15.2 beta 3 (build 24C5079e). I see the same issue on a MacBook Pro M2 Max with macOS 15.1. Does this app not support recent Macs / macOS? Without it, I have no way to develop CCAPI apps on macOS with this camera.
